just found anice website to watch most english movies. so i watched 10,000BC and Step Up(2006). tried watching high school musical(again). but the link was faulty. aw.

well, 10,000BC’s climax is really disappointing. it’s all about this person gathering up his “army” and save some girl who represents the god or something. and then the last scene is just copying the 300Spartans. just except if i didn’t remember wrongly, the spear in 300 didn’t hit the target while this one is 10000 did. WOW. i jus noticed both these movies have a big number in their names. well, perhaps we can say that 10,000BC is more impressive with the BIGGER number. whee~ but actually i think the opposite.

now for Step Up. 1 & 2. lez Compare and Contrast. i personally enjoy 2 more. cos it’s got more of bboying. it’s not called “Streets” for nuthin. but im guessing those who prefer a nice plot wud luv 1. that one, they got someone dying, and though it was just a minor part of the show and they didn’t really show how sad the people were due to the death of the person close to them…it was still very touching(for me at least). the funny part, though, is that the male lead can go on a stage and perform their choreo without practicing at all for a few weeks prior to the performance. he just went there last minute and asked his partner if she would let him join in and dance together. how irresponsible, i thought. well, at least it helped to give us a satisfying Happily Ever After kind of feeling. well, i wanna say again, that these 2 movies are SOOO cool.

i jus watched the chinese tv show 华文智多星. there’s RI today, and the sec4 PRCs they sent out totally pwned the rest. haiya. i duno whether it’s right for me to say but i thought those people from other schools kinda suk, considering they were comparably good in their school to represent their school… well, they couldn’t even write their words properly. 字体一个两个像狗爬. that’s wat my mom and her good friends always say about MY handwriting. LoL. i saw this person who wrote the word “击” with the upper 土 and the lower 山 unattached. i literally LOLed at it. oops. i spent such a long paragraph to talk abt this.

i finally start to feel busy now. with tests this thur.fri,sat and nxt thur. well there’re lots more coming, maybe even this week, just that i forgot about it. lol. i dun really rmbr all the test dates.

I almost forgot to report on my NAPFA today! 2.4km run/walk: 13.48min(E). 0.08min away from D grade
alright. it’s not good i know, but at least i passed without having to run 5 times.
for the other 5 items…no sweat. lol. everything else might/sure get A except for Pull Up(Chin Up). that one i can do a maximum of 3 now, without kicking or jumping for the first one. actually it doesnt really much. after all, i just have to pass everything, since i got E for 2.4km. that’s one burden lifted.

or maybe it’s o.O but they’re used in different situations. heh. o.o can be used in any situations, like saying, yes? when someone talks or…aiya jus anything. but o.O is more like “huh” or “wow?” which are like question marks. yea. well that was random.

updates: my piano exam is screwed, i started watching naruto, it’s quite like bleach just that ninjas die but not shinigamis.

oh im watching tv now and i just saw this stupid group/band or wateva it is…that has 10 people in it. like damn stupid. singers are getting crazy these days, forming super weird combos, with no pattern. like these 10 people, some guys some girls. if i just see them on the street one day, or on some random stage, i wont even be able to make out they’re a group of singers, i will think it is just some game that involves the audience. haiz.

Little Irony

I was stoning yesterday and suddenly thought of this book called Little Ironies, Stories of Singapore, which was compulsory reading material for sec 1 or 2. and then i briefly remembered 1 story but i couldnt find the irony in it. so i thought now im sec 4, maybe i can understand it much better. i flipped through, read “The Teacher” and i really got the idea much better.

the story is about a girl called TanGeokPeng, a sec 4 student getting ready for O’s. but her english was extremely poor and her teacher was really impatient with her. the compositions she wrote. they were all in grammar, punctuation errors. but they ALL described the same thing: her dysfunctional family. the teacher gave 3 examples of the compos she wrote and criticized every one of them badly, for the poor use of language. some time later, the girl jumped to her death.

all the teacher said was: “Poor girl. Such a shy and timid girl. If only she had told me of her problems.” 

like hell. yea. i that teacher sux. though it’s fiction, i believe that this kind of story has really happened before in real life, somewhere in the world. and i do not that this kind of cases happen rarely. people nowadays dun care so much anymore, abt anything. adults, when treating their child, look only at the exterior and do not go beyond that. example? wat matters: the score of a paper but not the mistakes, the achievements but not the hard work, the language but not the content(of the compo in the story). yea, people are becoming like that. the root of all troubles is development. but it’s inevitable and must take place, just like teh destruction of the earth. i truly admire the person who invented the chinese phrase 天下没有不散的宴席. it can apply to anything and everything. sighs. and that makes me sad.

back to topic. i recommended that story to my father. and i specifically told him that it’s very interesting. but all he ever noticed was the outrageous grammar mistakes made by the student. (i doubt he can do better than her btw) and after i said “do you really think i asked you to read it just for the jokes?”, another heated argument ensued. it was as usual, he did make any sense in whatever he said to rebut me, then it ended again with creative ways of reprimanding me of playing games too much. well, i admit i play too much so once he changed topic, i just Shut Up. (silence =  consent right..)

anyways, i wonder wat people usually think about when they read about a student writing about her ill-fate in all her compositions, before even reaching the part about the death and wat the teacher said.
for me, it was sympathy for the student. not much of how weird the language is.

yes im posting at home, with the down computer. i have to off the EXPLORER.exe thru my windows task manager and run programs with it as well. so it’s much more troublesome and my parents duno how to use. n kinda busy with stuff…sighs

n gd job to me in my behaviour during co practices. ignored a lot more. saying “whatever”, “anything”, “do i look like i care”and “o” & changing the topic when someone is in the middle of saying something to me more these days. i should get rid of it coz im making myself so rude. hm. im sorry to those i did the above.

Hello world!

Whee. Another first post for another blog. lOl. i thought wordpress is pretty cool after justin used it. bcoz it looks more personal. and not so emo. emo is bad for health and too much of it has gotten into me. ^_^

i must try as hard as possible to become more optimistic.

alright. actually im not really sure how to use wordpress yet. and it’s almost 12 midnight alrdy so i’ll probably learn more abt this tmr or later.

hm. and i think i should just leave my old blog there untouched. a yr or 2 later, i might look at it to bring back my memories. hope this is my last blog. i must continue blogging. and hope “someone who is dam pro at finding my new blogs” wont find this one too fast… cos at least this time i know how to hide my blog better….even though im not taking this blog off google searches. hehe.
