$10 well spent

i actually went for nyco concert yesterday! i didn’t really want to go at first, coz i was alrdy depressed with the fact that they’re better than us. perhaps a bit jealous too. then in the end, since so many people are going and some ppl wan me to go too, i should. but the most stupid thing was that khiayi was late and i had to wait outside to pass him his ticket. i ended up with some lousy seats in the front…couldnt anything at all…only the people at the front. sobz >.<

okay when it started, i was like so stunned when i saw wenqi, who’s my grp ldr for hcco interaction 2 yrs back. she’s still so small… so i recognized her at the start…then asked around n found out she’s graduated..meaning alumni. then after a while, i realized there was a baldie behind n it took me a few seconds to rmbr chewfei had shaved her hair. LoL~ then i just stared at her for the next 10+min n the percussion concerto later on as well. i had a tough time trying to resist my laughter… HaHa! but then, she really looked shuai whacking the drums with that hairstyle~ managed to spot some other familiar faces too.. n i just found out someone even spot me from the stage. how unexpected! oh n i really pity limyang for not being able to give her sis the pressie right after her solo…aww… >.< he should have just chionged la… then we cud cheer for him.

now…abt their skills… just good lor. but it turned out even better than i expected. imo, every single section of theirs own hcico’s, especially xianyue. or maybe it’s just bcoz i could only see the percussion and xianyue clearly. their bowing and fingering are so coordinated and precise… n their rhythm is good… unlike hcico’s which always lag lag lag. i think xianyue is really too important… when they mess up the rhythm, the rest of the orchestra cant play cos they’re the melody. oh and another point: every single of their section got at least twice as many people as hcico, dat’s wat i counted. n my favourite was the erhu+piano combination. liked the pipa and percussion pieces too.

important point: the zhongyinsheng (chinsian) was GOOD~ that’s wat i think. n their gaoyinsheng…not as many parts… but still handled them well. i really wanna know how good they really are now… n i din get to see their 台风. coz of my seat position. n am i the only one that realized zhongyinsheng got seriously a LOT of parts?

well, i think hcico really sux now. lol. 自卑 liao. haiya, we need a miracle bah…
